ANNEMETTE JEPSEN

Chartered Physiotherapist, Mummy MOT® and Mizan Therapy Practitioner

Annemette qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Southern Denmark in 2013. She moved to the UK the same year and has worked in private practice ever since, initially specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Recognising the importance of integrating women's health, pelvic floor rehabilitation and gynaecological care into physiotherapy, she went on to train in Mizan Therapy and became a certified Mummy MOT® practitioner. Annemette takes a holistic approach to assessment and treatment, tailoring care to each individual's needs.

Since 2023, Annemette has focused on supporting women through many stages of life, helping those experiencing endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, postnatal recovery, hormonal changes, and the physical changes associated with perimenopause and menopause.

A Mummy MOT® is a specialist postnatal assessment suitable following both vaginal and caesarean births. It can be beneficial even if your youngest child is several years old. The assessment looks at your posture, pelvic floor function and abdominal muscles following pregnancy and birth. It includes a full postural assessment, pelvic floor muscle assessment, abdominal examination to check for diastasis recti (abdominal separation), and screening for bladder, bowel and sexual health concerns. Annemette will provide personalised advice, treatment and exercises to support your recovery and help you return to the activities that matter most to you.

As a mother of two young children herself, Annemette understands the challenges of recovery after pregnancy and birth and brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her practice.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Annemette regularly undertakes further study and practical training to expand her clinical skills. She is scheduled to begin Visceral Manipulation Level 1 training with the Barral Institute in 2027.

Annemette is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also affiliated with the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) professional network and is a certified Mummy MOT® and Mizan Therapy Practitioner.
