Our Massage Therapies
Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft Tissue Therapy is a hands-on treatment comprising a range of methods to improve general health and wellbeing, as well as symptoms relating to certain medical conditions. It is suitable for people of all ages and stages of life.
Your practitioner will choose different techniques for different purposes, according to your individual needs. These may include:
Deep tissue massage techniques to improve recovery from subacute and chronic injuries.
Advanced soft tissue techniques to improve joint and fascial mobility.
Neuromuscular techniques to improve muscle function and range of movement.
To support rehabilitation and help prevent recurring problems, your practitioner may also offer advice on remedial exercise and lifestyle factors to speed up recovery, prevent injury, and improve posture and function.
Deep Tissue & Sports Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a therapeutic massage technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. Using slow, deliberate strokes and deep finger pressure, it aims to relieve chronic muscular tension, improve blood flow and restore mobility.
It can also help improve the health and mobility of scar tissue by freeing up the interface between the scar and surrounding layers, allowing the tissues to glide more smoothly. Deep Tissue Massage can be particularly beneficial for people experiencing chronic pain, muscular stiffness or recovering from physical exertion or injury.
Sports Massage is the application of Soft Tissue Therapy techniques to support people who participate in sport and regular physical activity. It can form part of a wider support programme to enhance performance, aid recovery and help prevent or overcome injuries affecting muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons.
Suitable for everyone from recreational exercisers to competitive athletes, sports massage can help manage muscular fatigue, overuse injuries and physical strain, while supporting mobility, recovery and healthy movement.
Mizan Therapy – Women's Health & Abdominal Massage
Mizan Therapy is a traditional approach to women's health using gentle, external abdominal massage techniques. Rooted in traditional reproductive healing practices, it focuses on the abdomen, pelvis and lower back, with an emphasis on supporting women's reproductive, digestive and overall wellbeing.
Mizan Therapy may be particularly relevant for women experiencing menstrual difficulties, pelvic or abdominal discomfort, fertility concerns, digestive issues or changes associated with different stages of life, including pregnancy, postnatal recovery and menopause.
Each treatment is tailored to the individual, providing dedicated support for women's abdominal and reproductive health, alongside guidance in appropriate self-care techniques.
